Requirements
- Strong proficiency in modern, type-hinted Python.
- Experience with Pydantic v2 and async/await programming.
- Experience with FastAPI or an equivalent modern Python web framework in production.
- Comfortable with SQLAlchemy and relational databases (Postgres or SQL Server).
- Solid DevOps fundamentals, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes (pods, replicas, deployments, services, kubectl).
- Working knowledge of Azure (identity, secrets, storage, or messaging).
- Git-based workflow discipline including code reviews, linting, and automated testing.
- Experience with observability tools like Elastic/Kibana, Sentry, or APM.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain typed, async FastAPI services backed by PostgreSQL and MSSQL.
- Extend storefront integrations and diagnose them when a platform changes its API or auth flow.
- Write scheduled data jobs that scrape, backfill and reconcile discount and pricing data.
- Ship work via GitLab CI to Kubernetes and monitor using Elastic/Kibana and Sentry.
- Manage Azure components such as service principals, Key Vault, and Blob storage.
- Make small, safe changes to Terraform infrastructure and shared platform libraries.
- Resolve production issues and collaborate with internal teams.
