Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience, ideally within a product or platform engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of 3D mathematics, with practical experience involving graphics engines, CAD kernels, robotics, 3D simulations, or related technologies.
- Experience with 3D/CAD technologies such as HOOPS, OpenCascade, Parasolid, or comparable platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable and scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Experience working with multiple data storage paradigms, including SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases.
- Knowledge of ML, AI, and LLM concepts, with experience taking AI capabilities into production environments.
- Familiarity with 3D machine learning pipelines, including feature extraction, embedding generation, model training, or inference.
- Experience integrating and working with large language models through APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Gemini.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks including PyTorch, Hugging Face, or Scikit-learn.
- Experience deploying machine learning services using cloud infrastructure such as AWS SageMaker or Amazon Bedrock.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguous or loosely defined technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key contributor to the backend development of 3D AutoReview capabilities, taking features from pipeline architecture and experimentation through production delivery.
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable backend systems and APIs supporting intelligent 3D model analysis.
- Experiment with geometry parsing, model analysis, quality detection, anomaly identification, and contextual information generation for 3D design reviews.
- Develop extensible systems that support custom rules, reference data, and scalable workflows for 3D engineering analysis.
- Collaborate closely with ML teams to integrate machine learning and AI capabilities into the 3D review process.
- Contribute to ML-assisted workflows involving feature extraction, embeddings, inference, model integration, and AI-driven analysis.
- Partner with backend, frontend, and product teams to deliver high-impact capabilities while maintaining speed, quality, and strong cross-functional alignment.
- Explore new technical approaches, test assumptions, and solve complex geometry, infrastructure, and AI problems that may not have clearly defined solutions.
- Help establish and maintain strong technical standards, engineering practices, and scalable architectural patterns across the team.
- Become a subject-matter resource for 3D-related challenges within the AutoReview domain and help other team members build expertise.
