Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or Engineering.
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible software development experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices in a government CI/CD environment.
- Experience producing status reports, staffing plans, and risk communications.
- Proficiency with Oracle APEX, IBM Cognos Analytics, Java, and Angular/React.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub) and SQL-based environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Design and sustain complex data architectures, including Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
- Support DevSecOps and cybersecurity compliance for the U.S. Census Bureau DBiT contract.
- Lead code modernization recommendations and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team to meet program milestones and deliverables.
- Manage technical documentation in Confluence regarding data models and database structures.
- Collaborate with the Census Database Migration Service (DMS) team for Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations.
