Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building scalable backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- A strong DevOps mindset and understanding of infrastructure, deployment, reliability, and operational practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative software development practices.
- Familiarity with microservice architectures and clean code principles.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed engineering environment with a high degree of technical ownership.
- Experience with large datasets (preferred).
- CKA or CKAD certification (advantage).
- Experience with SQL, IP networking, Linux, shell scripting (beneficial).
- Experience with major cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (advantage).
- Understanding of financial markets and market data concepts (plus).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and scale highly available, mission-critical services supporting market data products across multiple financial asset classes.
- Contribute to the architecture and evolution of market data systems, APIs, services, and libraries designed for scalability and reliability.
- Help maintain cohesive developer-focused APIs covering streaming and historical market data endpoints.
- Participate in technical planning, ideation, experimentation, and production implementation of new services and solutions.
- Build and maintain high-quality software with strong test coverage, clean architecture, and maintainable code.
- Participate actively in peer code reviews and contribute to consistent engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, investigate reported bugs, and implement effective solutions.
- Apply modern infrastructure, containerization, orchestration, and DevOps practices to support resilient services.
- Collaborate with engineering peers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Help evaluate technical trade-offs to improve scalability, performance, or maintainability.
