Requirements
- Relevant professional experience in infrastructure development, systems engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
- Puppet Certified Professional certification is required.
- Hands-on experience working with both Linux and Windows infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
- Experience using GitHub or another Git-based version control system.
- Working knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies.
- Ability to design and implement repeatable infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills for infrastructure and application issues.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts, VPCs, networks, load balancing, and proxy services.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership and coaching.
- Must be able to obtain or hold a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy software and automation code used to configure and manage enterprise Linux and Windows hosting environments.
- Define infrastructure services architecture and establish scalable approaches for managing enterprise environments and application configurations.
- Create reusable modules and automation solutions for infrastructure management, with a focus on Puppet and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Support the automated deployment of business applications and services across traditional and containerized environments.
- Configure and manage application servers, load balancers, proxy servers, virtual private clouds (VPCs), networks, and subnets.
- Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Assess, debug, and troubleshoot containerized services and applications across Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Partner with operations teams to triage bugs, diagnose technical issues, and resolve production incidents.
- Provide training, coaching, and technical support to engineering teams.
- Establish product vision, technical standards, and recommended practices for configuration management and automation.
