Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare administration, data science, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL.
- 5+ years of experience as a data analyst or data-focused professional within the healthcare industry, preferably with healthcare claims data.
- Deep knowledge of health data, multi-payer databases, public healthcare payers, claims processing, and claims data analytics.
- Strong understanding of US healthcare policy, industry trends, eligibility, utilization, healthcare costs, and health equity.
- Advanced data analysis and visualization capabilities using SQL, Python, R, Excel, or comparable tools.
- Strong experience with data profiling, manipulation, and transformation using technologies such as Pandas and SQL.
- Advanced proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with data modeling, database management, and cloud-based data environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows that collect, clean, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and quality throughout the data processing lifecycle.
- Analyze healthcare claims and related datasets to identify patterns, trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.
- Design, develop, and maintain databases, data models, schemas, and other structures that enable efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Profile, manipulate, transform, and prepare complex datasets for analysis using appropriate technical tools and methodologies.
- Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with healthcare analysts, policy experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
