Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with a senior or staff-level track record.
- Hands-on experience designing, shipping, and operating LLM-powered systems in production (RAG, tool calling, orchestration, and evals).
- Expertise in multi-agent orchestration.
- Demonstrated technical leadership such as architecture ownership, RFCs, and design reviews.
- Proven ability to influence technical work through persuasion and credibility.
- Strong evidence of coaching or mentoring engineers.
- Explicit commitment to people leadership and management.
- Business-fluent English (C1).
- Proficiency with Python, pydantic-ai, qdrant, Azure AI, Kubernetes, and backend technologies like Kotlin/Micronaut or Go.
Responsibilities
- Define and align a coherent AI architecture and standards across Flip Fusion, Ask AI agent gateway, and Flip Flows.
- Tackle challenges in multi-agent systems, balancing performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide people leadership to three AI engineers, coaching and mentoring them to increase their technical impact.
- Maintain hands-on development for approximately 70% of the role.
- Influence product strategy through technical advocacy and collaboration with product managers and other engineering leads.
