Job Details

15+ years in engineering leadership, with experience leading 30–50 person organizations.
Proven track record of scaling high-growth SaaS platforms in ecommerce, martech, or developer tools.
Deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering.
Experience building API-first products using modern REST and OpenAPI standards.
Strong understanding of modern CI/CD, DevOps, observability, incident management, and engineering operations.
Database expertise with experience handling large data sets.
Fluency with modern technology stacks (PHP, Node, React experience is helpful).
Experience optimizing application performance and platform latency.
Ability to operate in an exit-process posture with discretion.
Strong communication and executive presence to influence stakeholders and build organizational trust.

Set engineering strategy, define technical architecture, and establish standards for code, reliability, and security.
Lead and grow the engineering organization, implementing a pod-based operating model and career progression paths.
Ship the V2 REST API surface, including OpenAPI specs and agent-readiness layers.
Own engineering KPIs including delivery velocity, system reliability, defect density, and hiring quality.
Partner with Product, CEO, and COO to define vision, architecture standards, and roadmaps.
Execute diligence-readiness activities including repo hygiene, IP assignment, and security posture for strategic transactions.
Review and optimize the tech stack, assessing failure points and adding redundancies as needed.
Own performance metrics for the Rebuy engine such as latency and error rates.
