Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure or electrical construction projects.
  • Significant experience with the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) delivery of behind-the-meter microgrid power solutions (natural gas and renewables).
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience delivering medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, substations, or utility interconnections.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors, consultants, and utility providers.
  • Strong proficiency in managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, and change orders.
  • Experience coordinating long-lead electrical equipment procurement (transformers, switchgear, generators).
  • Familiarity with commissioning and energization processes for electrical infrastructure.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for company gatherings and to project sites.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or PE are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of power infrastructure scopes including onsite microgrids, substations, medium- and high-voltage distribution, and protection systems.
  • Develop and manage project schedules aligned with overall campus milestones.
  • Coordinate with AHJs, permitting authorities, and internal teams to ensure delivery aligns with customer capacity commitments.
  • Manage power delivery budgets, bid packages, contractor selection, contract negotiations, and change orders.
  • Monitor long-lead equipment procurement and identify schedule risks related to engineering and supply chain constraints.
  • Review design documents for constructability, redundancy, and operational resilience.
  • Coordinate factory witness testing and on-site commissioning activities.
  • Ensure adherence to high-voltage safety protocols and compliance with utility standards and electrical codes.
