Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in roaming validation, mobile core operations, interconnect routing, IREG testing, or telecommunications network testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Diameter routing and SS7/MAP concepts, including S6a/S6d, SGd, roaming authentication, and registration flows.
  • Advanced protocol troubleshooting capabilities, including extensive experience using Wireshark and network traces.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automated telecommunications testing frameworks using Python.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into modern CI/CD environments and maintaining regression pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of IR.21/RAEX data profiles, PLMN structures, IMSI records, and TADIG codes.
  • Practical experience with NB-IoT, NTN satellite architectures, NIDD data paths, or cellular device laboratory environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IMSI tracing tools, carrier-grade Diameter/SS7 diagnostic platforms, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
  • Experience connecting network signaling validation with TAP/BCE billing verification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define comprehensive IREG test strategies, including test cases, pass/fail criteria, network tracing procedures, validation metrics, and formal partner sign-off processes.
  • Execute end-to-end roaming validation covering network registration, attach sequences, authentication, S6a/S6d, SGd SMS-over-NAS, IP, and NIDD data paths.
  • Execute industry-standard roaming test suites while developing additional validation scenarios specifically designed for Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) environments.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve automated testing harnesses and laboratory environments.
  • Analyze Diameter and SS7 traces, Wireshark captures, device logs, and network logs to isolate configuration and interoperability issues.
  • Convert onboarding and production failures into repeatable regression tests and manage defects through root cause analysis.
  • Develop and publish dashboards covering test coverage, validation cycle times, and defect trends.
  • Collaborate across signaling, routing, billing, NOC, product teams, and external IPX providers.
