Requirements
- Associate degree in a relevant healthcare or medical field preferred.
- 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
- 1–2+ years of leadership, mentoring, supervisory, or team coordination experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical and administrative Medical Assistant workflows.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a dynamic, fully remote environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities and provide clear guidance to team members.
- Ability to identify workflow challenges, recommend improvements, and support implementation of operational changes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, consistency, and patient-centered service.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with EHR systems is preferred; experience with Athena is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-oriented environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, curiosity, humility, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource and point of contact for the Medical Assistant team, providing day-to-day guidance and support.
- Mentor Medical Assistants and contribute to their professional development, engagement, and performance.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members, helping ensure they understand clinical workflows, protocols, and organizational standards.
- Monitor daily workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and team performance.
- Help ensure established clinical processes and organizational standards are followed consistently across the virtual care environment.
- Support leadership with quality assurance activities, workflow audits, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Help coordinate daily Medical Assistant assignments, schedules, and coverage to support operational continuity.
- Identify operational challenges and communicate issues, observations, and recommendations to clinical leadership.
- Promote a patient-focused approach in day-to-day operations and interactions.
- Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and learning-oriented remote team environment.
