Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or finance operations.
- Experience in a subscription or SaaS business environment.
- Hands-on experience with Xero.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and analysis.
- Understanding of invoicing, credit notes, and subscription billing terms.
- Ability to analyze and explain ARR movements (new business, expansion, contraction, churn).
- Methodical, self-managing work style with high attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills for explaining complex billing issues.
- Accounting, commerce, or finance qualification preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Issue customer invoices accurately and on time based on contract and subscription terms.
- Process credit notes and billing adjustments with proper authorization.
- Maintain clean and audit-ready customer billing records and contract terms in Xero.
- Investigate and explain ARR movements for revenue recognition.
- Verify billing schedules against contract terms and renewal dates.
- Set up new customers in Xero with accurate pricing and payment terms.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for invoicing, pricing, and payment queries.
- Document core billing processes and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Implement AI tools to improve billing and ARR workflows.
