Requirements
- Deep understanding of deep learning fundamentals: optimization, initialization, normalization, and attention mechanisms.
- Strong command of the underlying mathematics: linear algebra, probability, and statistics.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with experience using NumPy and pandas.
- Hands-on experience managing GPU infrastructure, including CUDA, containers, and cloud instances (AWS).
- Experience working with time-ordered data, including backtest hygiene and distribution shift.
- Ability to read, reproduce, and debug research papers.
- Strong written communication skills for summarizing experiments and findings.
- Demonstrated experience in building and shipping personal projects.
- Capacity to work independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the full research project lifecycle from desk idea to production-ready models.
- Develop, train, and improve deep-learning models on market data.
- Manage personal compute infrastructure, including local GPU workstations or AWS instances.
- Implement leakage-proof evaluation protocols on time-ordered data.
- Read, reproduce, and summarize relevant research papers in foundation models, time-series, and RL.
- Use modern AI tools to accelerate code, data wrangling, and literature review workflows.
