Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience including shipping production systems.
- Direct experience on an Applied AI or product AI team building LLM/ML-powered features.
- Demonstrated judgment in agent-driven development and output verification.
- Strong backend and system design skills (APIs, distributed systems, queues, observability).
- Experience navigating ambiguity with cross-functional partners.
- Track record of mentoring peers and establishing engineering quality standards.
- Experience building platform capabilities like SDKs or developer tooling (nice to have).
- Practical experience with embeddings, search/retrieval, and model monitoring (nice to have).
- Familiarity with inference constraints, vendor tradeoffs, and deployment patterns (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Build agent platform and tooling primitives such as orchestration, tool calling, evaluation, and observability.
- Operationalize AI in the SDLC to assist with code reviews, testing, and incident support.
- Determine task delegation strategies between agents and human engineers.
- Debug AI agent behavior using distributed system analysis methods.
- Own end-to-end project lifecycles from prototype to production.
- Mentor peers on engineering standards and critical evaluation of AI-generated code.
