Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in information technology.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building and managing data platforms within Microsoft Azure.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, Service Bus, SQL Database, and Power BI.
- 7+ years of technology management experience with a track record of leading high-performing teams.
- 7+ years of experience specifically managing data and analytics teams.
- 5+ years of experience managing follow-the-sun data operations or engineering environments.
- 5+ years of experience in incident management and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and MLOps practices.
- Experience designing and managing generative AI systems is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work fully remote and maintain standard UK business hours.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to technology strategy, architecture, and long-term platform evolution as a member of the Enterprise Data & Analytics leadership team.
- Lead data and analytics teams in a follow-the-sun model to ensure reliable delivery and operational support.
- Architect and optimize secure, scalable data platforms and infrastructure on Azure.
- Mentor and build high-performing engineering and data operations teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating technical challenges into practical solutions.
- Manage budgets and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
- Serve as the local manager for remote technology employees in India across various disciplines.
- Develop next-generation data, analytics, and generative AI capabilities.
