Requirements
- Associate's degree or Diploma in Drafting, CAD, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical training.
- 0–2 years of AutoCAD drafting or design experience; internship or academic projects acceptable.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and drafting principles.
- Ability to read architectural and warehouse floor plans.
- Good mathematical and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CAD standards and layer management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn warehouse storage systems and material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for warehouse racking systems.
- Design warehouse layouts based on customer floor plans and project requirements.
- Create rack elevations, plan views, sections, and installation drawings.
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and drawing packages for manufacturing and installation.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, project managers, and estimation teams.
- Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.
- Verify dimensions, rack capacities, aisle widths, clearances, and storage configurations.
