Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10+ years relevant experience as a financial analyst, accountant, auditor, or examiner.
- Insurance industry or regulatory experience is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Proven team building and development experience.
- Strong PC skills, including experience in MS Office.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Exceptional client-service skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to routinely work from home with the flexibility to travel periodically.
- Professional designation (Accredited Financial Examiner, Certified Financial Examiner, or CPA) preferred.
- Experience using TeamMate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform risk-focused financial analysis to assess insurer financial condition and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Perform holding company system analysis and other group-supervision services.
- Review insurer regulatory filings, including acquisitions, transactions, dividends, and restructurings.
- Review company licensing and expansion applications and assist with troubled-company situations.
- Oversee the quality and consistency of the analytical review process and validate insurer priority levels.
- Lead, mentor, and support financial analysts, fostering professional development and continuous improvement.
