Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Security Operations.
- At least 2 years contributing to a SOC, Managed Detection Response Service, or Incident Response team.
- Proven hands-on Python experience.
- Technical expertise in threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Proficiency with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and IAM solutions.
- Strong understanding of modern security threats and attack vectors.
- Expertise in security frameworks such as NIST or MITRE ATT&CK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate security incidents into clear, actionable strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or OSCP are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor SIEM, EDR/XDR, and other security tools to detect, analyze, and triage security alerts.
- Utilize existing Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) platforms to handle alerts and automate tasks.
- Integrate and set up log source ingestion into SIEM tools and maintain detection engineering solutions.
- Review daily threat intelligence feeds to protect against emerging threats and Indicators of Compromise (IoCs).
- Collaborate with IT Operations to maintain asset inventories and deploy endpoint security agents.
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to influence security architecture and embed operational security requirements.
- Generate security metrics and assist in gathering technical evidence for compliance audits like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
