Requirements
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building, validating, and delivering supervised machine learning models.
- At least 2 years of experience working with healthcare claims data (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, commercial).
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience deploying models into production including version control, monitoring, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with coding systems including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG.
- Understanding of validation techniques for imbalanced and temporally shifting datasets.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, validate, and refine supervised machine learning models identifying healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Develop labeling and entity-resolution approaches using investigative case data and payer feedback.
- Design validation strategies for complex real-world conditions like delayed labels and class imbalance.
- Engineer features using Python and SQL directly against large-scale claims datasets.
- Deploy models into production, establishing practices for versioning, monitoring, and drift detection.
- Communicate methodologies and findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
