Requirements
- Master's degree in a quantitative field or a Bachelor's with equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of experience building, validating, and delivering supervised machine learning models on real-world data.
- Experience deploying models into production including versioning, scheduling, and drift monitoring.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data such as Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial claims.
- Knowledge of coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG.
- Experience with validation design for imbalanced datasets and temporally shifting problems.
- Ability to explain technical model output to non-technical audiences.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and validate supervised models to score providers and billing patterns for fraud, waste, and abuse risk.
- Engineer features against billions of claim records using Python and SQL within the data warehouse.
- Deliver actionable output with human-readable rationale and claim-level evidence for investigators.
- Deploy models into production, including managing versioning, scheduling, and drift monitoring.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to refine models and communicate methodology to stakeholders.
