Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications with strong frontend expertise.
- Deep proficiency in modern frontend development and component-based frameworks (e.g., React, Lit).
- Solid backend experience with understanding of API design, service boundaries, and system architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD and build systems (e.g., Buildkite, GitHub Actions, Drone).
- Experience with progressive delivery tools (e.g., Argo Workflows/Rollouts/CD, Kayenta).
- Familiarity with Temporal, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
- Excellent communication skills to drive alignment and navigate tradeoffs.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to lead projects end-to-end.
- Self-directed, action-oriented approach in ambiguous environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship high-quality features across the stack with a focus on reusable, maintainable UI components.
- Contribute to backend systems to deliver cohesive, end-to-end product experiences.
- Define and enforce clean API boundaries between frontend and backend systems.
- Collaborate with teammates to build a platform that supports complex deployment workflows, progressive rollouts, and automated rollbacks.
- Translate complex infrastructure technologies into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
- Engage directly with engineers across Reddit to conduct user interviews and shape the developer experience.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and contribute to platform reliability.
