Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience (7+ years preferred).
- Deep full-stack experience: REST APIs, backend, DB modeling, CI/CD, Web UX/UI, HTML/CSS, and mobile responsiveness.
- Proficiency in Linux/MacOS command-line and Bash scripting.
- Experience with automated and unit testing frameworks (e.g., Chai, Mocha).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Hands-on experience with databases (Postgres, MongoDB, DocumentDB).
- Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript, including async/await.
- Cloud infrastructure expertise: AWS, Azure, or GCP (load balancers, networking, auto-scaling).
- Expertise in Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Docker Swarm).
- Experience with distributed messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with Web/API security attack vectors and observability pipelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience.
- Active GitHub profile with an OSS repository demonstrating skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship production-grade systems end-to-end - frontend, backend, infrastructure, and the operational glue in between.
- Own technical decisions on architecture, cloud topology, observability, deployment, and security for the projects you lead.
- Write secure, resilient, well-tested code and perform code reviews.
- Debug complex production incidents, performance regressions, and distributed systems issues.
- Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate ideas and de-risk technical decisions.
- Mentor teammates and provide technical guidance on challenging problems.
- Research new technologies and refine team engineering processes.
- Provide technical effort estimates and support client-facing presentations.
