Requirements
- Experience designing and shipping production frontend code (e.g., React, React Native, or SwiftUI).
- Portfolio of shipped consumer product work across web and native mobile.
- Proven ability to set and defend a product design vision over a 12–18 month horizon.
- Deep experience in systems thinking and design systems.
- Proficiency in planning and conducting end-to-end user research.
- Demonstrated ability to move from concept to interactive prototype rapidly using AI tools.
- Strong communication skills to articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- High standards for craft, including motion, accessibility, and emotional tone.
- Experience mentoring and developing other designers.
Responsibilities
- Own a major customer journey or product experience end-to-end, from information architecture and interaction patterns to shipped frontend code.
- Set the design vision for your experience, articulating a 12–18 month direction and sequencing bets to achieve it.
- Contribute to and evolve the Babylist design system, including reusable components and interaction patterns.
- Run end-to-end research, including user interviews and usability testing, to inform design decisions.
- Write production frontend code to implement, refine, and polish experiences.
- Build and teach AI-native workflows that accelerate team productivity.
- Develop designers through timely feedback, mentorship, and hiring contributions.
