Requirements
- 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience.
- Strong understanding and practical application of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience managing accounting for multiple U.S.-based clients simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop/Enterprise.
- Proficiency with AP, expense-management, and payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Paylocity, Ramp, Bill.com).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Excellent spoken and written English with the ability to communicate confidently with U.S. business owners.
- Experience supporting service-based or blue-collar businesses like construction, HVAC, or plumbing.
- Strong client-service mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close and full-cycle accounting across multiple U.S.-based client accounts.
- Prepare and review financial statements, supporting workpapers, and reconciliations.
- Manage AP, AR, general ledger activities, payroll processing, and U.S. state sales tax filings.
- Develop custom financial reports, dashboards, and analyze financial performance for business owners.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning to provide actionable business insights.
- Communicate directly with clients to explain financial concepts and address questions.
- Document and improve accounting workflows, documentation, and internal controls.
