Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Scala and functional programming paradigms.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful web APIs in an enterprise setting.
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including source control, CI/CD, and testing.
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems and support for high-throughput production systems.
- Professional experience with AWS computing, database, storage, container, and serverless services.
- Experience with asynchronous programming models, ideally using Kafka.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to weigh engineering tradeoffs against business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a group of engineers to build performant, scalable solutions.
- Drive engineering culture and best practices across the team.
- Lead and participate in high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions.
- Develop simple solutions to complex business problems.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews and PR feedback.
- Author and provide feedback on technical proposals and root cause analyses.
