Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 5+ years of SAP Basis systems administration experience.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain upon selection).
- Additional required certification: SAP S/4HANA System Administrator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA Operations & Administration.
- Advanced understanding of SAP Basis tools and processes (system builds, upgrades, client copies, backup/recovery, HA, etc.).
- Experience across SAP products such as ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, and related components.
- 5 years of experience with SAP system installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and landscape management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 20% based on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Contribute to SAP solution design, including building Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for new projects or enhancements.
- Provide expert support for SAP installations, migrations, integrations, and system builds.
- Work with OS and database administrators to optimize system performance and ensure efficient operations.
- Manage system performance, upgrades, patches, corrections, transport management (CTS/TMS), client strategies, and batch scheduling.
- Administer SAP systems, including user management, security controls, authentication mechanisms, and compliance with security standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for SAP systems, configurations, and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP Basis issues in collaboration with technical teams and SAP support.
- Provide mentorship, knowledge sharing, and technical training to junior consultants and client teams.
- Test and validate SAP Basis services to ensure alignment with business processes and requirements.
