Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Advanced Python development skills.
- Working proficiency with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Direct experience with cloud AI platforms, with a strong preference for Vertex AI.
- Demonstrated experience building LLM applications and applying prompt-engineering techniques.
- Practical experience designing and implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, and retrieval workflows.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks such as CrewAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or Vertex AI Agent Builder.
- Experience integrating AI or software applications through REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle from prototype to production.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a follow-the-sun operating model.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and productionize AI agents using Vertex AI Agent Builder, Claude APIs, Gemini Enterprise, and related enterprise AI technologies.
- Build AI-powered workflows for priority patient-services use cases, including intake automation, adverse-event detection, and chat-with-claims capabilities.
- Develop and maintain production-grade RAG pipelines, including vector stores, embeddings, and retrieval strategies.
- Implement MCP server integrations and agent tools to interact with enterprise systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into Salesforce Health Cloud, MuleSoft, and Java-based SDLC environments.
- Create and contribute to a shared, version-controlled library of prompt templates, agent architectures, and engineering patterns.
- Own the complete agent lifecycle including deployment, testing, evaluation, monitoring, and optimization.
- Establish evaluation harnesses and quality standards to validate agent accuracy, safety, and performance.
- Monitor production agents for accuracy, latency, cost, and drift, taking corrective action as needed.
