Requirements
- 8+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience.
- Active license to practice law in Missouri and in good standing with the Missouri Bar.
- Significant courtroom and trial experience with a history of achieving favorable outcomes.
- Strong familiarity with Missouri personal injury litigation, court procedures, and applicable state laws.
- Exceptional litigation, courtroom advocacy, negotiation, legal writing, and oral argument skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and sound judgment.
- Self-driven, organized, and comfortable independently managing a full caseload in a remote environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and intake staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from intake through resolution and trial, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Represent clients in Missouri state courts, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials with confidence and precision.
- Advise clients regarding their legal rights and options and develop effective strategies tailored to the facts and objectives of each case.
- Prepare and argue persuasive pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement demands, and other litigation documents.
- Work closely with paralegals and support staff to prepare exhibits, witnesses, evidence, and comprehensive trial strategies.
- Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, medical evidence, and litigation risks to determine the appropriate direction for each case.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients and provide a high-touch client experience throughout the litigation process.
- Effectively manage a substantial caseload while meeting Missouri court deadlines, procedural requirements, and client expectations.
