Requirements

  • ACAS is required; candidates with FCAS are preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of actuarial experience.
  • Strong background in pricing and product knowledge.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of actuarial business functions, statistical methods, and actuarial models.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office products, analytical software, and programming languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Proficient organizational agility and conflict management skills.
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5-6 pricing actuaries and own pricing decisions for the Western region.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to support the career development of junior actuaries.
  • Act as a thought leader on actuarial methodologies, conducting comprehensive analyses and work plans.
  • Engage with business partners to assess and enhance pricing capabilities in the market.
  • Provide strategic vision for the team and deliver business recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead the peer review process and ensure quality, consistent, and integrated data analysis.
  • Identify skill gaps and develop training materials for the team.
