Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences or other relevant field.
- Active, unencumbered Idaho Professional Counselor, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy licensure.
- Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire and for the duration of employment.
- 1+ year of experience in a relevant field demonstrating knowledge of mental health disorder treatment.
- Experience with trauma-informed services.
- Experience with cognitive behavioral therapies including DBT, CBT, and motivational therapies.
- Ability to formulate and implement treatment plans and clinical documentation.
- Ability to work with a diverse population, including adolescent clients.
- Strong personal boundaries and ability to build rapport with patients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct confidential substance use and mental health assessments in person or telehealth to determine the need and level of care for clients.
- Make placement to appropriate facility based on the outcome of the assessment interview.
- Use a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to work collaboratively with clients and internal treatment team members.
- Provide clinical consultation to referral resources and family members to help support client treatment goals.
- Collect information from collateral resources to aid in determining diagnosis and treatment needs.
- Coordinate with Admissions and other staff to confirm appointment details.
- Complete paperwork requirements and maintain quality, up-to-date clinical records, including billing information and outcomes surveys.
- Work collaboratively with funding sources and utilization review teams to obtain initial authorizations.
