Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of commercial banking experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial and risk analysis, including financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products, services, corporate structures, and legal documentation.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. government regulations and the regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency with internal banking applications and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Portfolio Managers on credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, and other analytical activities.
  • Perform critical analysis to identify risks, issues, documentation needs, and potential obstacles.
  • Prepare risk-rating scorecards, tickler-event analyses, and recommend follow-up actions.
  • Develop and use risk, projection, and Probability of Default (PD) models.
  • Identify monitoring activities, verify financial covenants, update calculations, and track compliance.
  • Review covenant compliance certificates and reporting to assess borrower performance.
  • Prepare ALSR reports, Credit Approval Memos (CAMs), and renewals with increasing independence.
  • Conduct portfolio analysis and prepare Portfolio Reviews for client meetings.
