Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems, data, or ML platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale batch or streaming data systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python or comparable programming languages.
- Advanced data modeling and SQL expertise.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure as code.
- Proven track record taking data, ML, or AI systems into production.
- Knowledge of modern AI infrastructure including embeddings, vector retrieval, and LLM evaluation.
- Strong operational mindset with experience in on-call practices and building resilient systems.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural decision-making skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Professional-level English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business and product opportunities into scalable data and AI solutions.
- Design, build, and operate reliable batch and real-time data pipelines for reporting, experimentation, and machine learning.
- Evolve cloud-native data and ML platform architecture across orchestration, storage, compute, and streaming.
- Improve data quality and trust through robust data modeling, schema evolution, data contracts, and automated testing.
- Develop reusable tools and self-service workflows to enable engineering team independence.
- Maintain platform resilience through observability, incident response, and on-call participation.
- Lead architectural decisions and initiatives to reduce technical debt and establish scalable engineering patterns.
- Contribute to the development of modern AI and agentic workflows, including LLM evaluation and vector retrieval.
- Mentor engineers through design and code reviews, and technical guidance.
