Requirements
- At least 15 years of relevant experience designing and testing enterprise data platforms.
- Expert-level experience with Databricks and AWS.
- Expert knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and DocumentDB.
- Extensive experience managing clinical data from structured and unstructured sources.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare data standards including FHIR, C-CDA, and HL7.
- Expert knowledge of clinical ontologies such as ICD-10, SNOMED, NDC, LOINC, and RxNorm.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Asset Bundles, and GitHub.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance strategic priorities with tactical execution.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define and advance data engineering strategy for processing and governing high-quality enterprise data.
- Lead complex data platform initiatives by coordinating teams and aligning technical execution with business objectives.
- Expand and optimize enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse environments for healthcare-focused data products.
- Design and implement data security practices for PHI and PII adhering to least-privilege access principles.
- Develop ETL and transformation solutions using tools like Delta Live Tables, SQL, Python, and Scala.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL infrastructure across diverse sources.
- Collaborate with data science, clinical, and business teams to deliver robust data solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineers on emerging technologies and architectural best practices.
