Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, focusing on backend automation.
- Strong expertise automating RESTful APIs using tools like REST Assured, PyTest, Playwright, Postman, or Karate.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL) for data validation and ETL verification.
- Proficiency in at least one core programming language (Python, Java, TypeScript, or C#).
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to identify risks proactively.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerized environments using Docker is a plus.
- Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as K6, JMeter, or Locust is a plus.
- Prior experience in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable API and backend test automation frameworks using modern languages and tools.
- Optimize database validation by writing complex queries to verify state changes and data integrity.
- Validate REST/gRPC microservices and data pipelines through functional, integration, and regression automation.
- Conduct exploratory testing for complex edge cases while maintaining a 70% automation to 30% manual execution model.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
