Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the Cost Management industry.
  • 5 years of experience applying construction technologies and sustainability trends to cost planning.
  • 5 years of experience reporting on financial impacts using CMiC, MS-Excel, or Procure.
  • 5 years of experience preparing cost budgets and plans using MS-Excel or CostX.
  • 5 years of experience working with construction contracts.
  • 5 years of experience implementing Earned Value Management.
  • 5 years of experience reviewing and negotiating change orders and proposals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost plans in collaboration with clients based on site conditions and constraints.
  • Prepare, review, and present cost estimates and comprehensive cost plans.
  • Report to senior leadership on current estimated costs versus budgets.
  • Perform bid evaluations and lead cost negotiations.
  • Manage the post-contract process and monitor internal resource allocation.
  • Prepare and update budgets, contracts, and risk assessments based on design changes.
  • Provide high-level cost advice and strategic improvements to clients.
  • Attend client meetings and ensure follow-up actions are executed.
