Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
- Operating experience at a Principal Engineer or Principal Architect level.
- Proven success designing large-scale, multi-region, multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS platforms.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, Kubernetes, containers, and platform engineering.
- Strong experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred).
- Understanding of cloud networking (load balancing, service discovery, ingress, DNS, service mesh).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Datadog.
- Strong coding capabilities in Java, Python, or Go.
- Ability to establish technical standards and lead enterprise-scale cloud migrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the long-term architecture for a multi-cloud, multi-region, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- Drive cloud-native adoption, architectural transformation, and major migration initiatives.
- Architect highly available platform services spanning compute, networking, storage, APIs, and shared infrastructure.
- Create reference architectures, engineering patterns, and best practices to ensure security, scalability, and reliability.
- Guide the architecture of containerized platforms and shared services for enterprise-scale workloads.
- Partner with SRE teams to improve availability, disaster recovery, observability, and fault tolerance.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to improve CI/CD, developer tooling, and self-service capabilities.
- Mentor senior engineers and facilitate architectural decision-making across the organization.
