Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MS, PharmD, PhD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in congress communications, operations, or medical communications within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record leading complex congress execution, including onsite leadership and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong ability to collaborate across functional teams like Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Compliance, and Legal.
- Experience developing scientific communication strategies and translating complex medical content into engagement opportunities.
- Proficiency with content review and approval platforms, specifically Veeva Vault.
- Experience with digital asset management, workflow optimization, and content governance.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive operational excellence in a matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
- Translate therapeutic area congress strategy into a comprehensive operational plan, including sponsorships, abstracts, symposia, and digital content.
- Lead end-to-end execution of medical activities, representing Medical on planning teams.
- Develop and manage booth and digital assets, utilizing platforms like Veeva for review and version control.
- Manage agency partners to ensure deliverables are met within budget and timelines.
- Own booth staffing, training, and onsite communications.
- Ensure compliance readiness through required documentation and sponsorship approval processes.
- Lead pre- and post-congress planning and promote best practices across the team.
