Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience developing backend services and APIs in Java (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot).
- Hands-on experience designing and operating applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, including authentication and authorization patterns.
- Experience with image-centric workflows (capture, ingestion, storage, and transformation).
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications, such as computer vision or OCR.
- Knowledge of secure engineering practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management).
- Familiarity with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (MBI/T2) clearance.
- Requirement to reside in the U.S. for the last 5 years with specific travel/absence limitations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for cloud environments using modern engineering practices.
- Implement cloud-native solutions on GCP to support image capture, ingestion, processing, storage, and distribution.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with internal services and external partners.
- Build and maintain image processing pipelines, including validation, transformation, and metadata management.
- Implement AI-enabled capabilities such as classification, OCR, and data extraction using managed services.
- Ensure applications meet security standards through secure coding, IAM, encryption, and audit logging.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product Management to plan, deliver, and support software solutions.
