Requirements

  • Advanced medical or scientific degree: MD, PharmD, or PhD.
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech Medical Affairs experience.
  • 7+ years in Medical Communications.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and managing a communications team.
  • Demonstrated success in product launch planning and execution.
  • Experience in publications, congress planning, medical education, and omni-channel content strategy.
  • Established track record of KOL and society engagement and scientific collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., FDA, OIG, PhRMA).
  • Experience establishing and managing a Medical Information function (preferred).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and possess a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of disease-state and product-specific materials in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive the omni-channel scientific communications strategy in alignment with Medical Affairs and corporate objectives.
  • Develop and implement publication plans, overseeing manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
  • Oversee the development of standard and custom responses to unsolicited medical information requests.
  • Partner with investigators, authors, and internal SMEs to ensure timely, high-quality data publications.
  • Establish and manage departmental capabilities, processes, and procedures for medical communications.
