Requirements
- Recent experience shipping production-ready software from scoping through to rollout.
- Proven ability to work independently on backend or full-stack projects.
- Experience writing RFCs and making architectural decisions with minimal oversight.
- Ability to transition into Python development.
- Solid instincts on software testing, observability, and security.
- Experience with card scheme rules, chargeback workflows, or fraud vendor integrations (nice to have).
- Exposure to webhook-based event systems, rules engines, or orchestration platforms (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Own individual features end-to-end within the dispute automation buildout including deadline tracking, evidence collection, and response templates.
- Extend dispute lifecycle coverage to new PSPs.
- Build components of the native rules and signals engine such as velocity rules, blocklists, and device fingerprinting.
- Contribute to fraud vendor integration work (Riskified, Forter, Signifyd, Sift).
- Write RFCs and ADRs for owned components with independent execution.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering Management to turn merchant pain points into shipped automation.
- Support the development of a new frontend Dispute Management dashboard as needed.
