Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure and AWS architecture, networking, identity management, and cloud economics.
- Demonstrated experience designing secure, resilient, automated cloud platforms in highly regulated environments.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, risk management, and compliance-by-design principles.
- Experience applying AI within engineering and operations workflows.
- Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and mentor engineers.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Terraform certifications are strongly preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Define cloud architecture principles, target states, reference patterns, and modernization roadmaps across Azure and AWS.
- Architect the migration of on-premises and data center workloads to cloud-native services.
- Develop capacity, resilience, availability, and performance strategies using observability data and AI-driven forecasting.
- Establish and govern Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform, automated testing, and policy-as-code.
- Build intelligent automation for provisioning, patching, monitoring, and incident response.
- Provide hands-on architectural leadership for complex initiatives and review technical designs.
- Mentor engineers and promote responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
- Embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into cloud architecture and operational practices.
- Partner with application, data, security, manufacturing, and finance teams to establish technical requirements.
