Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience delivering business-critical integrations for large enterprise customers.
  • 2+ years of hands-on VistA integration experience.
  • Experience with mPage Workflow components, Dynamic Documentation, and CCL.
  • Strong experience with REST-like APIs, FHIR, OAuth 2.0, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
  • Familiarity with healthcare data integrations and enterprise healthcare technology environments.
  • Experience working with EHR systems such as Oracle Health/VistA is highly valuable.
  • Working knowledge of Node.js/TypeScript and Google Cloud Platform, or the ability and willingness to quickly learn these technologies.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare integration standards such as FHIR, HL7, and X12 is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and make sound technical decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence collaborating with internal teams, customers, and external technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and adaptability, with the ability to work across different technical domains and programming languages.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed in a rapidly evolving organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, scale, and support robust healthcare integrations using REST-like APIs, FHIR, OAuth 2.0, mTLS, and other third-party technologies.
  • Develop and maintain business-critical VistA integrations while ensuring strong security, privacy, reliability, and performance.
  • Build real-time and batch data integrations that support healthcare partners and customers at scale.
  • Collaborate directly with health system customers and external partners to deploy, troubleshoot, and support integration solutions.
  • Enhance existing systems by introducing new functionality and improving stability, scalability, quality, performance, and security.
  • Work closely with engineering, implementation, product, machine learning, infrastructure, design, and support teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to technical architecture discussions and help maintain high engineering standards across the codebase.
  • Improve documentation, share technical knowledge, and introduce quality-of-life improvements that reduce technical debt.
  • Maintain a user-focused mindset by developing a strong understanding of customer and end-user needs.
  • Communicate clearly across cross-functional teams and take ownership of integration projects from development through deployment and ongoing support.
