Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and query languages.
- 3+ years of experience building data pipelines in production across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- 3+ years of experience in data modeling (e.g., star schema, entity-relationship).
- 3+ years of experience writing clean, maintainable, and robust code in Python, Scala, or Java.
- Expertise in software engineering concepts and best practices (Git, CI/CD).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, owning end-to-end delivery from design through production.
- Willingness to travel.
- Consulting experience strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud preferred.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted data and AI advisor to clients and executive stakeholders, translating business questions into AI-ready data architectures.
- Design and implement AI-optimized data platforms including cloud data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and orchestration jobs.
- Build and evolve semantic and analytical layers to power tools such as Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie, and BI platforms.
- Engineer modern ELT/ETL pipelines handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Develop production-ready code in SQL, Python, and Spark using Git and CI/CD best practices.
- Apply AI-assisted data engineering techniques for data exploration, quality checks, and transformation acceleration.
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and ML teams to productionize AI-enabled features and inference pipelines.
