Requirements
- Strong experience as a Senior Java Backend Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS) is essential.
- Good understanding of WCS infrastructure and environments.
- Experience navigating and troubleshooting large WCS codebases.
- Strong understanding of WCS build and deployment processes.
- Experience working on complex enterprise e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to support migration from legacy commerce platforms to modern architectures.
- Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft Azure, DevOps/CI/CD, Kubernetes, and containerization.
Responsibilities
- Migrate functionality and data away from WCS as the source of truth.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
- Implement MongoDB within the target backend architecture.
- Analyze and navigate existing WCS codebases to understand business logic and dependencies.
- Provide technical guidance on WCS infrastructure and architecture.
- Troubleshoot WCS environments and support access and configuration management.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams throughout the migration.
