Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in security operations, SOC analysis, or related cybersecurity function.
- At least 2–3 years leading or managing security analysts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud security monitoring and incident response in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Understanding of cloud-specific attack techniques, telemetry (CloudTrail, API logs), and network-flow data.
- Experience securing cloud-native workloads including containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP, cloud-native SIEM, EDR, and SOAR technologies.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and ability to translate threats into detection activities.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong understanding of SOC processes, playbooks, and operational metrics/SLAs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Detection engineering experience writing/tuning detection rules is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Azure/GCP security, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, CISM) are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the India-based Security Analyst team including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Oversee daily SOC operations and coverage across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring effective monitoring and alert triage.
- Guide investigations across cloud-native technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and SaaS.
- Lead incident response activities and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into operational improvements.
- Define, monitor, and report on SOC performance metrics, SLAs, and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with security and detection engineering to improve automation, tooling, and analyst workflows.
- Represent the India SOC team to global security leadership and act as an escalation point.
- Identify and implement process improvements and training to support team scaling.
