Requirements
- Professional experience contributing to software development teams at a mid-career to senior level.
- Strong technical aptitude with both back-end and front-end development.
- Strong computer science fundamentals.
- Experience or exposure to working with language models.
- Proficiency in Node and Python for backend development.
- Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind for frontend development.
- Experience with static type checking in Python and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Comfort with writing asynchronous code and thinking defensively about error handling.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative team environments.
Responsibilities
- Build Elicit into a product researchers can't live without by shipping useful features on a weekly basis.
- Work on a mix of known features, fixes, prototypes, and exploratory projects.
- Balance shipping features in the short term with building extensible and maintainable systems.
- Ensure features in production are scalable, resilient, and easy to operate.
- Contribute to discussions around UX, system design, and architecture.
- Communicate complex engineering topics with stakeholders across the company.
