Requirements
- Strong experience building production software in Go, or another language with good support for concurrency and parallelism.
- Experience working on larger or long-lived codebases.
- Ability to work independently on scoped problems and deliver them to completion.
- Clear technical communication skills, especially in code reviews and design discussions.
- Solid understanding of internet protocols such as HTTP, gRPC, and WebSockets.
- Familiarity with lower-level networking concepts.
- Experience with modern development practices, including testing, code review, and iterative development.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain k6, a performance testing tool written in Go.
- Contribute to the open-source project, including codebase maintenance and community collaboration.
- Design and implement features from initial concepts through delivery.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and make architectural decisions for production systems.
- Collaborate on design, implementation, and code reviews with other engineers.
- Support k6 cloud services, focusing on performance, correctness, and failure modes in distributed environments.
