Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Comfortable working on a computer daily.
- Intermediate to advanced math skills for medical billing record breakdown.
- Ability to become a Notary Public in the State of Texas within the first 6 months (not within the first 90 days) of employment.
- Effective communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training.
- Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Experience in Hospital/Medical Billing (preferred, not required).
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Utilize the MedRelease platform to assist management with the pre-completion of certifications.
- Abide by all HIPAA and PHI document handling practices to ensure record integrity.
- Analyze medical billing records using math to provide explanations to requesters.
- Surpass daily departmental goals with minimal supervision.
- Work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Complete overtime work as business needs require.
