Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, advanced modeling, and experimentation at scale in consumer-facing technology environments.
- Expertise in SQL and Python.
- Experience applying statistical modeling, such as causal inference and time series, in big data environments.
- Experience using big data tools like Databricks or Snowflake.
- Proven track record of shaping long-term product roadmaps and driving business outcomes.
- Ability to influence senior cross-functional leaders.
- Strong communication skills for presenting executive-ready recommendations.
- High initiative and comfort working with significant autonomy in a complex business area.
Responsibilities
- Drive the long-term data strategy for the Rentals Shopping pillar using consumer behavior and market analysis.
- Elevate statistical rigor, modeling, and experimentation practices across the Rentals team.
- Partner with product, engineering, and design leadership to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
- Lead analytical and modeling projects focused on rental search relevance, ranking, personalization, and marketplace efficiency.
- Design and implement robust A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
- Apply modern AI, including LLMs and agentic workflows, to scale intelligent user-facing solutions.
- Coach and mentor data scientists, providing technical leadership and guiding them through complex challenges.
