Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience in language quality assurance or a similar localization quality control role.
- Experience reviewing clinical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, or other life sciences documentation.
- Proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, MemoQ, or Phrase.
- Experience using QA tools including Xbench, Verifika, or integrated CAT quality assurance features.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word Track Changes and document review workflows.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1 level).
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting urgent turnaround times.
- Availability to work approximately 4–5 hours per day, with flexibility to occasionally work weekends and public holidays.
- Willingness to complete a quality control assessment and participate in a staged onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Perform non-linguistic quality control of English translations for clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documentation.
- Review formatting, terminology, numerical data, dates, units, consistency, and compliance with project instructions.
- Use CAT tools and quality assurance software to identify and resolve formatting and technical issues.
- Verify converted content from non-editable or handwritten source files and perform formatting quality checks.
- Manage multiple small-volume assignments while meeting short turnaround times.
- Self-assign work based on capacity, document findings, and report discrepancies.
